Material at Port Eliot 2009


In conjunction with Gavin Turk and Deborah Curtis' now legendary House of Fairy Tales, Material will be joining the Drawing Room at Port Eliot Literary Festival during the weekend of 24th- 26th of July where we will be inviting you to join us in making your drawings into things which will featuring much badge making.

Joe managed to get a few photos from the exhibition "Sur La Route Vers Arles" which opened last weekend before the masses arrived for the PV. The show will run until 7th August so there's plenty of time to come and see it.

New Book with Cover art by Nick Morley Now in Stock!

We have finally got in stock the recently published Faber and Faber 80th anniversary book of W. B. Yeats poems selected by Seamus Heaney with the cover art by one of our recently exhibited artists Nick Morley www.nickmorley.co.uk.

All the book covers in the series are by British printmakers and feature images from original linocuts and wood engravings.

Come and Make a Beastly Badge at Material This Weekend

This weekend sees the end of our current exhibition, Man and Beast. As a final farewell, the artist Nick Morley will be around Friday and Saturday making beastly badges and- weather permitting- drawing in chalk on the streets of Ludlow. This is your last chance to see the show so come along and we will give you the opportunity to make your own beastly badge.
