MCQUEEN BOOK SIGNING WITH KRISTIN KNOX

On Thursday 13th May between 6.30- 8pm, Kristin Knox a.k.a The Clothes Whisperer will be signing copies of her new book Alexander McQueen: Genius of a Generation at Material, Carnaby Street.

More than just a ready-to-wear designer, McQueen’s vision eclipsed the sphere of the fashion industry and reached into that of the artistic — his infamously over-the-top runway spectacles resembling a new kind of installation art more than a conventional catwalk show. THE BEARS ARE RUNNING OUT...

Due to the popularity of Nick Morley's Bear on Bike print, the second edition of 50 is down to it's last 5 so if you have been umming and ahhing over whether or not to get one, you should probably act fast!

The prints are available from Material in both Ludlow and London and are £80 unframed / £140 framed. The print is also available unframed for £88 including P&P on our online shop.

YOU CAN STILL DO A LOT WITH A SMALL BRAIN

We have many new books at Material and we will be listing a few of our favourites over the next week or so so keep an eye out to see what we have got.

Just arrived this week is a book by Rob Ryan: You Can Still Do A Lot With a Small Brain. A hardback 82 page book which was has been published to accompany Rob's current show at The Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
The book contains an introduction by Clare Dwyer Hogg followed by an interview with Rob and lots of beautiful images of his work photographed by Jonty Wilde.
These photos include the 11 breathtaking window decals Rob designed for the Yorkshire Sculpture Park, each panel measures 4.5 metres high by 1.9 metres wide.
It also contains images of Rob's studio, shop and some of his work. Measures 248mm high by 176mm wide and is only available from here, the Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Rob's shop Ryantown.
