SAVILLE ROW FIELD DAY
To celebrate and promote an initiative of Prince Charles to promote the use of wool from Britain and the Commonwealth, the famous street of tailors is closed to traffic for the day to enable dozens of sheep to graze on specially laid turf. Farmers and sheep dogs are also present at this launch event for the Campaign for Wool. Having arrived in Soho with much time to spare, we jumped off the bus and hot footed it to Saville Row to check out the sheep and feel a little home sick.
More details on the campaign for wool can be founds in the current issue of Selvedge available in store and online
